The Challenge
The British Heart Foundation’s legacy video-conferencing kit was difficult to use and incompatible with their Microsoft Teams environment. They sought an intuitive, integrated, Teams-native solution, consistent across all sites so staff could enjoy the same experience wherever they worked. A particular challenge was a large, divisible room at their London HQ, which needed to function as one space or be split into multiple configurations. The solution also had to complement the newly redesigned space with a clean, modern aesthetic, ensuring both technical flexibility and visual harmony across their meeting environments.
The Solution
Purify began by surveying all 28 rooms across each site, capturing 360º images to support collaborative design workshops. These sessions gave the project team a detailed understanding of each space and its requirements, while enabling in-depth discussions of possible solutions.
A vendor demonstration day showcased options, leading to the selection of Yealink for their Microsoft Teams Certified range. In the complex divisible boardroom, Yealink was paired with QSC cameras, speakers, audio processing, and Sennheiser Team Connect 2 microphones. After installation, updated 360º images with overlaid training materials were provided, accessible via QR codes in each room for quick user guidance.
The Impact
The new solution has transformed the British Heart Foundation’s meeting experience, delivering 25 Microsoft Teams Rooms across eight sites and a flexible three-room divisible space. With a consistent, intuitive setup, staff can now connect seamlessly, whether in a small meeting room or a complex multi-room configuration. Reliable, high-quality audio and video ensure meetings start on time and run smoothly, reducing technical frustrations and improving collaboration. Supported by a managed service and accessible 360º training content, the organisation benefits from greater efficiency, more productive discussions, and the confidence that every meeting will connect people effectively, wherever they are.
